# Introduced on 12 October 2005 and currently progressing through the Parliament. On 9 November 2005, the government suffered a 'historic' defeat over the 90-day detension (amended: 28 days, instead of 90 days; current: 14 days; background: the internment in Northern Ireland, 1971-1975, resulted in an increased support for the IRA).
